PK-3 Math Formative Assessment
Teachers need valid and reliable assessments that measure the extent to which students are mastering mathematics and science standards. They can use this information to target additional instruction to struggling students or enrichment to those who exceed expectations. Toward this goal, FCR-STEM will
- define the purpose, assessment design, mode of administration, measurement model, use of results, time-frame, and implementation strategy through collaboration with the Florida Department of Education and an advisory group
- identify the relevant focus of a literature review based
- solicit information from other states
- prepare a preliminary plan for the development of mathematics assessments
Advisory Group membership to include: representatives from the FCRSTEM International Advisory Board, national assessment experts, representatives from other states, Florida district and school representatives
